Join us for this amazing and fun webinar with our resident Greek culinary expert, Susanna Hoffman. The syrups soaks poured over baklava, kataifi, melomakaronia, and other traditional Greek sweets have remained pretty much the same and ever repetitive mix of honey and water– with perhaps a little lemon or sometimes orange– for millennia. But, for today’s ingenious and modern cook, those customary syrups can be punched up with far more flavor while still staying super Greek. They can take on touches of Greek liquors, like ouzo, tsikoudia, and mavrodaphne, Greece’s own unique and aromatic mysterious spices, like mastixa and maxlepi, even Greek ever galvanizing coffee. Susanna Hoffman shows us how to make some new and sparkling soaks with inventive syrups with the addition of other Greek bouquets, splashes of spirits, and auras.
